Science Investigations

At The Meadows, we pride ourselves on the devlopment of children's knowledge of the World and encourage the improvment of their scientific enquiry skills.  These are built up from Foundation Stage throughout the school.  We ensure that a variety of different methods are used to develop these skills, including:

• the use of collaborative learning - children working with their peers, in pairs or in small groups;
• recording scentific enquiry using different methods - written work, use of photographs and use of videos to name but a few;
• independent learning;
• investigating the school grounds and the local area.
