Over the next Academic Year we are going to be providing various courses/workshops for our children and one of their Parents/Carers.
All courses will be limited to 10 places and will be issued on a first come first served basis. Only one Parent/Carer will be allowed. No younger siblings will be allowed to attend the sessions.
To book a place on any of these courses/workshops please contact Mrs Wheeldon on 01782 235025 option 3 or email@example.com
Please see below the current courses/workshops we are offering:
Hungry Caterpillar Workshop on Tuesday 3rd April 2020
Fake News Workshop on Tuesday 28th January 2020
We hosted a fun workshop from NewsWise which is a free project from The Guardian Foundation, National Literacy Trust, PSHE Association and is funded by Google. We gave our Y5 and Y6 children and their families the skills to navigate the news, to identify misinformation and disinformation, bias, opinion and rumour, and different points of view; to have a voice and report news stories on issues that matter to them; and to become active and engaged news consumers from an early age. What is fake news? How do you spot it? What is clickbait? How can you tell the difference between facts and rumours? How is the news made?
