Y4's Superb Learning
Written By Hollie
This week, Year 4 have been doing lots and lots of exciting work. In this blog you will hear everything they have been learning.
In English, they have been using short sentences in their work. They also learned how to use fronted adverbials to improve their sentences and make them more interesting. The children also got to write their own version of “The Lion King” using their own characters and characteristics. Interestingly, they figured out how to do DE:DE sentences and drop clauses (or another name for it is a relative clause). They worked hard to use the more, the more sentences and although sentences.
In maths, the children were introduced to fraction and division work in their learning. Year 4 have also been working extremely hard by doing tests in class.
One of the Year 4 children said “I really enjoyed learning lots of new things about fractions!”
In topic, they learned about the interesting cycle of water including gases liquids and solids. The water cycle is a very interesting movement.
In best write, the children learned about Pele and Harry Kane. They figured out how they felt when they won the world cup.
Our Year 4 teachers said “I’m really glad that all the children enjoyed learning all these new, wonderful things.”
